Graduating seniors who have also played ALTA tennis are eligible to apply for four college scholarships offered by The ALTA Foundation. April 1 is the deadline to apply for one of the $5,000 awards.
This is the second year the scholarships have been available, thanks to an endowment from the estate of Keith Wood, who served as ALTA president in 2009 and chairman of the board in 2012.
“We were very impressed with the applicants last year and picking the winners was not an easy task,” said Lynn Lee, 2017 ALTA Foundation president. “We’re looking forward to this year’s entries.”
Recipients must be Georgia residents and have been paid members of ALTA, playing in the Junior Leagues or Junior Challenge Ladder, for at least one year.
