Add ALTA to Your Email ‘Safe Senders’ List

ALTA is using email more and more to keep you updated with news and information. To make sure you continue receiving ALTA emails, please add our email addresses — noreply@altatennis.org  and customerservice@altatennis.org — to your safe senders list or whitelist. Adding an address to your whitelist ensures that email from that address will not be filtered as spam.

Here is a list of commonly used email programs with easy-to-follow instructions:

Gmail
Step 1: Open the email.
Step 2: Click on More Options in the upper right hand corner of the message.
Step 3: Click on Add Sender to Contacts List in the header of the email.
Step 4: A confirmation message will be displayed above the email.

Microsoft Outlook 2007
Step 1: Open the email.
Step 2: Click Options on the Tools menu.
Step 3: On the Preferences tab. Under Email, click Junk Email.
Step 4: Select Safe Senders or Safe Recipients tab and click Add.
Step 5: Enter the email address of the contact and click OK.

MSN Hotmail (Classic)
Step 1: Open the email.
Step 2: Click Save Address in the menu bar.
Step 3: Verify that our contact information is correct.
Step 4: Click OK on the next screen.

Windows Live Hotmail
Adding to the Address Book doesn’t automatically add an address to the Safe Sender list; you must mark the sender as safe.
Step 1: Open the email.
Step 2: Click on the Mark as Safe link.

Yahoo! Mail
Step 1: Open the email.
Step 2: Select the Add to Address Book link.
Step 3: Enter the email address of the contact and click Save Contact.

AOL WebMail
Step 1: Open the email.
Step 2: Click on the sender’s name and email address.
Step 3: Click Add to Address Book in the window that appears.
Step 4: Enter any additional information.
Step 5: Click Save.

AOL (version 9.0 or higher)
Step 1: Copy the “from” address from the latest email (or you can copy the addresses listed above).
Step 2: In the pop-up box, select Add.
Step 3: Paste the copied address or type the address in the Other email field.
Step 4: Make the newly added address the “Primary email address” by checking the box.
Step 5: Select Save.

AOL 8.0
Step 1: Select Mail in the Menu on the top of the screen.
Step 2: Select Mail Controls.
Step 3: The Mail Control Screen will be displayed. Select Next.
Step 4: Select Customize Mail Controls for this Screen Name and click Next.
Step 5: You can select “Allow email from all AOL members, email addresses and domains” (allows all emails).
Step 6: Select Next until the Save button shows up at the bottom.
Step 7: Select Save.

AOL 7.0
Step 1: Select Mail in the Menu on the top of the screen.
Step 2: Select Mail Controls.
Step 3: The Mail Control Screen will be displayed. Select Next.
Step 4: Select Customize Mail Controls for this Screen Name and click Next.
Step 5: In the exclusion and inclusion parameters, include altatennis.org.

BellSouth/AT&T Web Email
Step 1: Open your mailbox.
Step 2: Select Options on the top right hand side > Mail Options > Filters > Add Filter.
Step 3: Select Filters.
Step 4: Click Add Filter.
Step 5: In the top row, labeled From Header, select “contains” from the pull-down menu. Enter the address in the text box next to the pull-down menu. Example: You can either give a specific email address or use @altatennis.org or altatennis.org to whitelist the domain.
Step 6: Look at the bottom where there is the option Move the message to. Select Inbox from the drop-down menu.
Step 7: Select the Add Filter button once again.

Comcast SmartZone
Step 1: Click Address Book.
Step 2: Click New and choose New Contact.
Step 3: Add the email address and any additional information.
Step 4: Click Save.
