1/2 | cup + 1 Tbsp. all-purpose flour |
7 | Tbsp. packed brown sugar |
3/4 | tsp. ground ginger |
2 | 16-oz. cans sliced pears in juice, drained, with 1/3 cup of the juice reserved |
2 | Tbsp. butter, melted |
1 | 1 1/4 oz. pkg. cinnamon and spice oatmeal mix |
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. Mix 1 Tbsp. of flour; 4 Tbsp. of brown sugar; and ginger in an 8-inch square baking dish. Add pears and reserved pear juice, stirring until blended. Cover dish with plastic wrap; then prick a few holes in the plastic. Microwave on high until filling begins to bubble, 4-5 minutes, stirring once halfway through cooking. Meanwhile, combine butter and remaining 3 Tbsp. brown sugar in a bowl. Add oatmeal mix and remaining 1/2 cup flour; stir until crumbly. Sprinkle evenly over the filling. Transfer dish to the oven and bake until the topping is golden, about 15 minutes. Serve warm.
